Although the lowest HOMO Insurance I found, they won't return phone calls. Yeah, I have been with them for 3 years because of low rates but based on the responses here, I'm afraid if I ever have to make a claim!
Chelsea Thompson is the devil and therefore working for the correct company. Avoid these people like sin.
Geico should hook up with a reliable company. I received my second invoice this year (Feb. 2012), with 2 pending according to their invoice, while I'm moving out in April. They want me to pay till January 2013! Is that legal? This billion dollar company has no email address nor employees to answer the phone during the weekend or after hours either. Customer service? Not since I checked last time.
I am still waiting for my claim to settle. My claim has went through three people and now Tom has it and he just says he has more than 10 people ahead of me so I will have to wait after already waiting 3 months. I called my state's insurance commissioner and have filed a report with them. He has to get my claim done in 15 days unless he can prove that he is waiting on something. Having more claims ahead of mine is not an excuse the insurance commissioner excepts. I don't know what will happen to him if he disobeys, but...oh well.
Insurance of unknown origin. Took 5 or 6 transfers to finally get to someone to cancel this ??? insurance.

I received a statement for an Apartment in a city that I don't even live in. I have no clue how this company even got my information. When I told them that I'd believe that someone else had open a policy without my knowledge the agent told me to just "allow the policy to expire and once it had expired I would no longer be held responsible". The agent claimed that there would not be any penalty because they do not report to credit companies. What type of company allows for a unauthorized opening of accounts and then has nothing set in place to rectify the problem. The agents attitude suggests that this is a standard practice of their company. I feel sorry for people who actually get tricked into paying for policies from this company that they never even opened but I'm sure that it happens all the time judging by the response of their agents.
We have been a customer of this company for years. We signed up through Geico. Our truck was broken into and clothes,electronics, and everything was stolen on a trip. This company only paid part of the claim. They refuse to pay for my husbands prescription breathing machine, his clothing etc. They wanted me to send in pictures of him using the tools that were stolen where you can see the brand of tool. How ridiculous. Chelsea is an adjustor that will talk over you with great disrespect and then hypocritically inform you that you are disrespecting her. Robert Shorthouse does not return phone calls. I work hard for what I have as a teacher and have paid my premiums on time. Now these people want me to jump through hoops just so my husband can breathe at night. I wonder how they sleep with such a crooked way of doing things.
You are as bad as used car dealers and have the ethics of multi level marketers. By what legal right do you require written cancellation of a policy when the policy is paid in advance and than re-bill the policy holder even when said policy holder verbally indicates intent not to renew?
Me and my husband hadn't even heard of this company and never gave out any information. Yet they still managed to get my husbands account and started charging us for a policy I've never even heard of. Whoever these people are becareful. DO NOT GET THIER INSURANCE! They are cons!!
Similar to Michelle D, we had massive damage from a tree. Our home is unliveable, and the insurance company is slow to get things rolling. Unfortunatley, the adjuster did not explain what he was writing in his report, so I can't even get proper estimates in order to get work started when the company has the report finalized.
We have a tree that fell through our home over a month ago. I called within the hour to file a claim. Received a call the following day from the assigned claims rep. and that was the last time we heard from the adjuster for 27 days. I finally made contact with our claims rep, Tammy Fenby and she said she passed our claim to another rep. named Frank Rosales a week after she had it due to the size of the claim. I asked her why we weren't phone or mailed this and she didn't have an answer. Needless to say I called Frank Rosales (after leaving 3 days of Vmails for him to contact me) at 6 am my time as they are 3 hours ahead (major inconvenience)and I finally go to speak to Mr. Rosales. He informed me he received the claim from Tammy 20 days after she received it. Looks like we are possibly going to have to involve the insurance commission and/or attorney. I'll refrain from demeaning but probably accurate comments however, incompetence & refusal to respond to daily Vmails for a period of 3 weeks is inexcuseable. ZERO STARS FOR THIS COMPANY!!!
We were burglarized and had been paying insurance steadily and on time for 4 years. When we started the policy, we asked the agent if it covered everyone living in the house and he said "yes", neglecting the fact that it would cover everyone if we all put our names on the policy. We asked specifically if we should do such a thing (even after it was left out) and he said that it wouldn't be a problem. Well, when we went to file the claim, we were informed that it wouldn't go through because we weren't all on the policy. We were then met with the agent's (that we were now dealing with) supervisor who basically told us that the law was on their side and there was nothing we could do about it. Even though everyone is on the lease, there is an official police report, and we'd been customers in good standing for 4 years. Yeah.. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
Tom Malatino is a waste of time.filed claim almost 3 months now.I call everyday,he never ever answers the phone.I leave messages,it takes him least 3 days minimum to return my messages.and when he does all he's says is that he has numerous claims and he will get to mine eventually.these guys are con artist.taking your premiums every month and not handling your claim much less answering you calls and questions.
