Aetna’s Basic Term Life insurance offers cash benefits to any chosen person or persons after the death of the insured. Depending on your employer, your total benefit amount may be limited based on your income and the cost of premiums.

Aetna’s Basic Term Life – Additional Options

Aetna’s Basic Term Life insurance plans also have several additional benefit options. The availability of these plans to employees depends on the specific coverage and plan options offered by their employer.

The “Accelerated Death Benefit” option allows for an advanced payout of life insurance benefits when the insured becomes terminally ill.

The “Conversion” option allows the insured to continue coverage with the employer’s group life insurance policies in some cases, such as after retirement or after terminating employment.

The “Premium Waiver” option allows the insured to remain covered by Aetna’s life insurance plans without having to pay a premium if the insured person becomes disabled before a certain age with a disability that lasts for a pre-determined amount of time or longer.

Aetna’s Supplemental Term Life

Aetna’s Supplemental Term Life insurance plans are very similar to their Basic Term Life options. These plans offer an additional cash benefit to be paid out upon the insured’s death, in addition to benefits paid by Basic Term Life policies. How to choose coverage

The life insurance, health insurance, automobile coverage or homeowner’s insurance that you purchase depends both on your needs and on your financial position, as higher amounts of coverage result in higher premiums to pay.
