Aflac vs. Protective Life Insurance Company

AFLAC and Protective Life Insurance both offer a variety of insurance policies to suit the needs of you and your family. AFLAC offers a variety of cash benefit policies, mostly related to catastrophic medical events, but also offers dental insurance, life insurance and lump sum policies. Protective Life Insurance offers only life insurance, but offers a wider range of life insurance policy options than AFLAC.

Catastrophic Medical Insurance Plans

One advantage of these AFLAC policies is that they are individually owned, meaning that the customer is not at risk of losing his or her insurance coverage if he or she changes jobs or retires. AFLAC policies are also paid by default to the beneficiary as cash benefits, meaning they can be used to cover a variety of needed expenses. AFLAC’s policies are separate from normal medical insurance and, when approved, AFLAC pays out benefits regardless of payment or non-payment by other insurance companies.

AFLAC Accident Insurance

Benefits are provided after an accident to cover excess costs associated with emergency treatment or expenses that are not completely covered by regular medical insurance (such as broken teeth, ambulance transportation, emergency room visits or ICU treatment). AFLAC Cancer/Disease-Specific Insurance
