Life Insurance from Symetra

Symetra offers two major types of life insurance. All plans offered by the company are either Permanent Life Insurance or Term Life Insurance. Both types of policies come with a number of options that consumers can choose from.

Permanent life insurance does not expire, and it offers guaranteed death benefits. Symetra Successor Single Premium Life Insurance allows policy holders to provide financial benefits to their families without having to pay federal income tax. This policy also increases real estate values.

Another option is Symetra Universal Life Insurance. With Universal Life Insurance, premium costs stay the same every month. Policy holders who are confined to nursing homes can use part of their death benefits in advance to cover the cost of their care. Consumers can also take advantage of Symetra Classic Universal Life Insurance. Classic Universal Life Insurance includes an option to use the cash value of the policy for medical assistance or emergencies.

Different Options Available

Symetra Term Life provides two different options for policy holders. These include Level Term Life Insurance and Proterm 360 Life Insurance. Level Term Life Insurance is the cheapest option, and it comes with a 10, 15, 20 or 30 year term. Premiums are fixed, and 50 percent of a policy’s cash value can be used if a policy holder is diagnosed with a terminal disease. Proterm 360 life insurance offers a unique money-back option for consumers who finish paying the policy premium without using any benefits. The policy’s cash value is not subject to federal income tax.

Life insurance policies ensure that loved ones are left with financial benefits when a person passes away. In general, these policies will cover the cost of funerals and burial expenses, medical costs, current bills and even debts. They will also provide financial assistance to cover educational costs and other family expenses.

Life Insurance from AFLAC

AFLAC offers three major types of life insurance to fit every need. AFLAC Term Life Insurance provides death benefits for policy holders. These policies are usually valid for 20 to 30 years. The coverage expires at the end of the specified term. AFLAC Whole Life Insurance also provides death benefits. These policies remain active as long as premiums are being paid. AFLAC Term Life Insurance Riders allow another person to be added to an AFLAC life insurance plan. These are often used to provide benefits for children when their parents pass away.

Accident Insurance from Symetra

Symetra offers Structured Settlements. Structured Settlements allow policy holders to receive tax-free payments during medical treatments instead of receiving the benefits in a lump sum. Premium payments can be customized according to the policy holder’s future medical costs and daily expenses. These policies may be extended, and policy holders receive cash payments weekly or monthly.

Accident Insurance from AFLAC

AFLAC accident insurance offers financial assistance for accidental injury, emergency treatment, hospitalization and other medical expenses. Cash benefits are sent directly to the policy holders, and it is up to them to decide how to use the money. AFLAC accident insurance will cover expenses for things like broken teeth, concussions, ICU confinement, ambulance costs and emergency room fees.

Medical Insurance

AFLAC offers specific individual policies to cover a myriad of medical situations. These are standalone insurance policies that consumers can buy. Rather than offering a single medical insurance policy, AFLAC offers targeted options to give policy holders the best benefits for their individual needs.

People who have a history of cancer can opt for Lump Sum Cancer policies that provide benefits for cancer patients. These policies have features that are specially designed to offer maximum financial protection for people who are facing cancer. Specified Disease Insurance policies are unique, and they can provide protection for people who are at risk of acquiring certain diseases.

Symetra does not offer medical insurance policies.

Juvenile Life Insurance

AFLAC offers Juvenile Whole Term Life Insurance and Juvenile Term Life Insurance. These types of policies provide insurance for children. If a policy holder is diagnosed with a serious medical condition, he or she may still receive the policy benefits even at a young age. This is usually not an option with regular life or medical insurance

Juvenile Whole Term Life Insurance offers death benefits. The cash value of the policy may be borrowed against, collected and made available to pay for insurance premiums. Juvenile Whole Term Life Insurance policies do not expire as long as the premiums are paid regularly. Coverage amounts can increase by 100 percent on the child’s 18th birthday. These policies come with fixed premiums.

Juvenile Term Life Insurance offers death benefits until a child reaches 25 years of age. When the policy holder turns 25, Juvenile Term Life Insurance can be converted into an individual permanent life policy.

Symentra does not offer juvenile life insurance.
