First, the father & son don’t communicate with each other, they are in the same office. They both showed up on our doorstep to give a contract for life insurance.
Then, my name was spelled wrong on 3 sheets of the contract, which I called ben lipinski and told him I wanted corrected sheets, and he said, “o the name doesn’t matter, as long as we have his social security”. I insisted the name be changed, and waited 2 months for this.
After many mistakes by this company, we were very upset with the agent, so we cancelled the policy in December 2010 after paying $336.66 for 2 months premiums. January 2011, ben lipinski called and said we were ignorant to insurance. How can an agent talk like this to a client, or someone who is 72 years old?
Think we should go to the Ohio Dept of Insurance, to get our $336.66 back, we are very upset at this!!

It is sad that the bad behavior of one agency in Ohio gives a good company like American Continental Insurance Company in Tennessee a poor rating.
That agency should make things right for the customer.

First of all American Continental is a very good company.
Frank Medved leaves a nasty gram about my company. He called my commercial more than twice. One call my father received and one I received. He never tells either of us.
We receive over 100 calls a week for quotes. Mr. Medveds name correct on the written application and there was a copy in his policy. On a couple pages American Continental had his name spelled Medvd. They sent out the corrected pages and this was not good enough for them. They had the insurance for 3 months. It clearly says on the policy that it has to be cancelled within 30 days for the initial premium to be reimbursed.
If you were so unhappy they should not have kept it for almost 4 months. Better yet, after this has been all said and done, Franks wife calls me several months later and wants insurance again. Caution to all agents. These people are a major headache. Not worth the commission.
P.S. Insurance companies have the insured social security number, address, date of birth, but they thought the company could deny a claim because they left the “e” out of his name. It’s no wonder they live in a trailer park.

Mr. Lapinski, I am shocked at your post!
As a professional in the insurance business, it is your job to properly convey the terms of insurance to your customer. I have been in the medical insurance business for over twenty years and yes there are some companies that if the policy is written under one name (incorrectly) and a claim is submitted under another (correctly) the claim denies even for missing one letter.
But after reading your comment, I will remember not to recommend your office to obtain any insurance coverage as I would not want to be connected with such unprofessionalism. I do not know either of you, but after reading I have no interest in dealing with such a childish adult who is suppose to be a professional. Sometimes no reply is best when representing a company. Please remember sometimes it has to be about the client and not your commission!!!
Money should never be the object of your motivation. Do right by your client to promote good references will make your commission speak for itself. Good luck to you!!!! No referrals from this shocked person!!!

A bit disconcerting to be over billed and then have no way to contact the company. Tried the phone number and was told they are too busy to answer any more calls. Tried to contact via internet only to find no customer service site, just sites to get quotes!
