Assurance America Insurance Coverage Options

AssuranceAmerica Auto Insurance offers a range of coverage options tailored to high-risk drivers. While specific coverage options may vary by state and individual circumstances, the following are common types of coverage that may be available:

  • Liability Coverage: This is the basic coverage required by most states. It includes two components:
    • Bodily Injury Liability: Covers medical expenses, legal fees, and damages related to injuries you may cause to others in an accident.
    • Property Damage Liability: Covers damage to others’ property, such as their vehicle or other structures.
  • High-Risk Auto Insurance: AssuranceAmerica specializes in providing coverage for high-risk drivers. This type of coverage is designed for individuals with a history of accidents, traffic violations, or other factors that make them challenging to insure through standard policies.
  • Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Coverage: Protects you if you’re involved in an accident with a driver who has insufficient or no insurance coverage. It can cover medical expenses and property damage.
  • Comprehensive Coverage: Covers damage to your vehicle caused by non-collision events, such as theft, vandalism, natural disasters, or hitting an animal.
  • Collision Coverage: Covers damage to your vehicle resulting from a collision with another vehicle or object.
  • Medical Payments Coverage (MedPay): Pays for medical expenses for you and your passengers, regardless of fault, in the event of an accident.
  • Personal Injury Protection (PIP): Similar to MedPay, PIP covers medical expenses and may also include lost wages and other expenses related to injuries sustained in an accident.
  • Rental Reimbursement Coverage: Pays for the cost of renting a vehicle while your car is being repaired after a covered accident.
  • Towing and Labor Coverage: Covers the cost of towing and basic roadside assistance services, such as jump-starts and tire changes.

It’s important to carefully review the specific coverage options available in your state and consult with an AssuranceAmerica representative to tailor a policy that meets your needs and complies with state requirements.

What is high-risk car insurance?

High-risk car insurance is car insurance coverage for drivers who are considered more of a risk behind the wheel. Some examples of why you might need to purchase high-risk car insurance — or non-standard car insurance coverage — include:

  • You’ve had multiple car accidents in the past year.
  • You’ve received multiple tickets or citations in the past year.
  • You have bad credit.
  • You’ve been convicted of a DUI or DWI.
  • You’ve had a lapse in coverage.
  • You own a sports car.
  • You’ve had to file an SR-22 or FR-44 with your state.
  • You’re a new driver or a teen driver.
  • You live in a high-risk area.

Read more: Understanding FR-44 Auto Insurance Coverage

When car insurance companies consider you to be high risk, you will notice that you are expected to pay car insurance rates that are higher than average. You may also notice that you are consistently turned down for car insurance coverage.

What is AssuranceAmerica’s car insurance coverage like?

If you are searching for non-standard coverage, you may notice that most policies you come across do not offer full coverage options. Car insurance coverage with AssuranceAmerica focuses on meeting each state’s liability requirements rather than offering exhaustive options for coverage.

AssuranceAmerica currently offers car insurance in the following states:

  • Alabama
  • Arizona
  • Florida
  • Georgia
  • Indiana
  • Missouri
  • Nebraska
  • South Carolina
  • Texas
  • Virginia

In each of these states, AssuranceAmerica allows clients to purchase liability-only policies that meet their state’s requirements concerning minimum coverage.

This insurance company is a nightmare

First of all when you make a claim they do not send an adjuster out to come look at your vehicle they make you send pictures of what's wrong with your car which is just strange. First of all when you make a claim they do not send an adjuster out to come look at your vehicle they make you send pictures of what's wrong with your car which is just strange. Anyways, I had to do a claim for a customer with this auto insurance at my shop. The agent I had to work with was EXTREMELY rude and quite frankly being a smartass trying to over talk me when I was explaining about getting parts for the vehicle and him saying we were the ones slacking. What a joke!! He slacked on getting his side of the job done during the entire process. I documented everything that happened and how many phone calls I made and messages and emails I sent out. When I finally was about to close the case after calling over 10 times in one day and sending emails and 4 messages the agent tried to short my company over $1000 and even argued with me about where to send the check for my business. He kept telling me "Well this is the address I have" and I told him 3 different times that it was not the correct address that this one was it. When the customer got involved and called the insurance company, because we told her we were waiting on them to send us the check before we could release her vehicle to her, they had told her they had already sent it when they hadn't! I guess they didn't know me and the customer were communicating the entire time. Not only I, but the customer as well, has caught these agents lying on multiple occasions to each of us. I would personally never use this "insurance" company. The customer I had worked with has dropped it and has found a far better company. The only thing this insurance company can actually assure you is that they will lie and procrastinate and that you're going to have a bad time. What a nightmare for my customer and for myself. I hope I never have to deal with them again. I should provide photos of my documenting but there are more than 5 photos worth of me calling and conversations I have recorded and had wrote down.

So Disappointed with Assurance America….

This insurance company sucks. Effective day of coverage 10/4 (amount to begin policy $355) on 10/6 I needed road assistance because of a flat tire. I was told I had to find a provider, set everything up, pay for the service and submit the bill for reimbursement. I ended up canceling the policy on 10/12. I was expecting a refund check for about $225 and ended up receiving a check for $91.69. What the heck is that? I called the company and was told...

To me, the amount continues not to make sense. Worse insurance company ever. It is better to pay more to a bigger company where the services are better and when road service is needed, they send it to you, service is performed and you sign and on the way to go….

Unauthorized pay withdrawals

Very poor communication, they increase your rate anyhow without contacting you and claim to have sent a notice. Assurance America is the worst Auto Insurance company anyone can have. The supervisors are just as worthless as the adjusters. The adjusters ignore you and never call back. They switch your adjusters without notifying you. Operators catch attitudes and hang up and the correct messages are rarely delivered. Absolute garbage.

Don't use them if unless you like walking!

I drove through water on May 3rd and filed a claim. It is now May 21st, 2021 and I can't get an answer regarding my claim. They are trying to locate my ex boyfriend to talk to him about the claim. I would not use this company. They don't respond when emailed or called and have no sense of urgency.
