I work for a health provider and must call several agencies to verify PIP claims, yours included. Unfortunately, I have to call each time we have an encounter with the patient. I know claims are all “open claims” in the state of Michigan. But sometimes we need to know if these claims are under investigation, in litigation or settled.
I have had the worst experience with your agency in getting this information. The adjusters are very rude and refuse to return phone calls. I have had one tell me not to bother to call her because she will not be calling me back. I finally decided to call a manager. When she decided to call me back to told me the claim in question is “open, it’s open, you’ve been told it’s open how many times do you need to be told it’s open”? I explained it was under investigation at one time. “I don’t care how many times you call here I am not calling you back, the claim is open. You can call 100 times a day I will not answer the phone.” She then said we need to change our protocol and slammed the phone down.
Now I understand why the adjusters behave the way they do when they have management who is setting the example for them.
Jan Leeds, Dana Horn and Dawn Addington are the most uncouth and unprofessional people I have dealt with. They are a very poor representation of your company.
I hope this letter finds it’s way to Ms. Zuraitis.

Bullies is all they are. The one I have had for my fire loss isn’t trying to help and is beyond slow…Steven Yoder and his boss shouldn’t even be working there, cause he doesn’t have a clue!
The Steven Yoder dude won’t give me the e-mail or contact information, to contact Ms. Zuraitis and has lost most of the stuff I have sent him to pay my claim!!! It’s been about ONE YEAR and a HALF, and Citizens still isn’t paying me!!! They even sent me an HO3 form on how they work, when I have an HO4 policy. Too bad you pay all the premiums, then don’t get the help you need!!
My agent has dropped the company because of the way they act!!! This should tell you something. Maybe Ms. Zuraitis might give me a call or get me some help getting paid? I survived a house fire by diving out a second story window and that was less tragic than dealing with Citizens?!!!!!!
I have been with this company for 4 days and I am already disgusted with them. I have not had an accident in over 20 yrs. My wife was rear ended last year, 100% not her fault and because of that, we have to pay more.
I am canceling our policy tomorrow and going back to Liberty Mutual who I have been with for 40 yrs.
