Terrible experience related to a workers comp claim.
This company is using an error made by one of their company reps to delay a payment to me (approved by The Workman Comp Commission of Maryland). The wording on the claim was wrong in terms of the body part that was injured so they re-submitted the claim thus holding up my claim from a money standpoint. This should have had no bearing on my weekly amount which has been approved by the commission.
Meanwhile, I have not been paid and the adjuster has been told to hold payment. Can someone explain to me why I am not being paid on an approved claim? Imagine now if your car has been totaled or your home damaged in some way, will you be treated the same way?

I wish that I could give Key Risk a positive rating as a reliable source for my workers compensation case. I reported previously about an issue from my initial injury from July 2012. I called and left Dawn Crowe several messages related to trying to see a doctor. I did not hear from her until the end of September when the knee that I fell on in July finally gave way tearing my meniscus and re-injuring my shoulder.
I did not receive a check from September until into January of 2013. Needless to say, I could not contribute to my children’s Christmas because I was not compensated.
Many thanks to Starnet insurance for quickly remedying the situation and getting me squared away after an emergency hearing. In transition from Dawne Crowe to Lia Davis things were flowing smoothly. Enter November 2013. For the second consecutive Christmas, I was without compensation for the 6 weeks prior to Christmas. Lia quickly had me paid the week following Christmas for all of my back pay that was missed.
I received pay the next 2 weeks. But now I am currently going on my 3rd consecutive week without pay. As a parent company that shows to be a competent, strong and responsible company, I am confident that Starnet insurance company is unaware of what is happening locally at Key Risk.
The attending physician that is heading my case has requested that we move forward with vocational rehabilitation. This was 8 weeks ago and despite calls and emails from my lawyer’s office and the medical nurse, there is still no resolution. Key Risk told the medical nurse that they would be communicating directly with my lawyers office; however, nothing has happened.
I am at a loss for words for what to do. I would appreciate it if once again Starnet could get involved and remedy this.
Since I give Starnet credit for being efficient following my first complaint, I will not be negative.
