My home was insured by Fidelity Insurance. There was a sewage pipe leak which caused $1,328.57 worth of damage (Servpro charged $878.57 for mold remediation, and Trader Enterprises charged $450 for fixing drywall, and flooring). The homeowner’s insurance provided by Fidelity has a thousand dollar deductible, but that still leaves $328.57.
Fidelity Insurance gave us the run around from the beginning, having us repeatably filing the claim. They then decided the condo association should pay for the damages. I filed the claim with homeowners association twice and received letters from their lawyers denying any financial responsibility for the damage.
The home has been insured for years with Fidelity and this was the first claim. They acted in bad faith by not honoring the contractual agreement. From the beginning, they sought any excuse not to honor their guarantee, insurance. They either owe me a return of all the payments for insurance not provided, or provide the insurance I paid for.

Our home had a washing machine leak that caused 2″ of water throughout our home. From the very beginning, fidelity gave us the runaround. They didn’t believe our home was still wet after a month of getting the runaround, and when I proved it by thermal imaging, they cut off our hotel and left us in the streets with our 3 young children… 2 of which have bad respiratory issues.
Insurance adjuster told us we had 6 weeks from receipt of check and then went back on that and said they changed their mind. Thermal imaging proved there was water in carpet and tile after 4 weeks of it just sitting there and they REFUSE to replace the either. We have hired a public adjuster.

Worst insurance company ever!!! Stay away!
They will give you the runaround and will not provide any help whatsoever.
We had a fire in our house and you would think that we would get covered for something like that but somehow they will find ways to not give you once cent for any damages!

Agent kept ignoring my calls to check status of claim. Finally settled after over a month of living with no walls or flooring, for a lot less than need to bring back to original state. Our out of pocket after deductible was huge.
Save your money and temper..and go elsewhere.

This company sucks. What a bunch of liars. They’ll make any excuse to deny the claim. I guess being educated with Christian values has no effect on how they treat their customers. I think the Federal Government should pull their charter to sell flood insurance.
This is a huge scam endorsed by the Federal Government sho allows them to sell Flood Insurance to poor saps like me who are required to have flood insurance. Can I rate them any lower than 1 star?

The worst insurance company you could ever pick! 2 1/2 years running over a sewer pipe claim. Their method is to ignore you and hope you go away……… I am so tired of these a-holes it is incredible. I plan on pursuing them until the day I die to ensure they pay for what I am covered for.
They should have been named flamingo insurance because all they do is stick their head in the sand (while collecting your premiums) and hope you go away. Well, they have the wrong policy holder this time…….
if I could give them negative stars I would. Please heed my advice and stay away from these people at all costs.

I was thinking of switching over to them because they have a cheaper premium than State Farms Ins. on my rental. But, after reading the reviews forget it!!!! At least I know that state farm takes care of their customers.

Useless, I have $10K worth of damages, they paid nothing! Multiple excuses, atrocious customer service, every reason not to pay a cent. I am switching to another company – this equals having NO insurance.

Weasels!!!! Paid two years of insurance premiums for my condominium. My neighbor’s water line broke and did significant water damage. Fidelity National is refusing to pay the claim ($6,000 of damage) citing a self – serving interpretation of the condominium documents.
BEWARE, these people are crooks.

I have had nothing but good experiences with Fidelity National (they recently changed their name to Stillwater).
I have had my home insured with Fidelity for almost 10 years now and I recently switched my auto insurance to them this year.
I have filed 2 claims on my home insurance over the past 10 years and they handled both remarkably. My most recent claim was the Arizona hailstorm of October 2010. They came out the day after I filed the claim.
Not only did they pay to replace my roof, but they also paid me to repaint my house even though I didn’t think that there was any hail damage to the paint, my exterior paint was very old and was peeling and chipping due to age, not the hail storm.
The adjuster said that since there was a small possibility that the hail caused some damage to the paint, they would pay to repaint the house as well.
Great company, I highly recommend it!

Have been working on a claim from hurricane Ike in 2008. The concrete columns supporting our home are failing as a result of salt water damage. Their assigned engineer said no damage occurred, however, over time the salt has destroyed the reinforcing steel bars in the columns causing the columns to crack and crumble.
They recommended painting the cracks in lieu of replacing them, that’s all they paid for. They refuse to talk to us.
Don’t buy from this company, they will weasel out of their responsibilities!

Read and heed. This is not a good company to take your business to.
Our homeowner’s association has been paying them a high flood insurance premium for 8 years. When the time came this company did exactly as listed by others below. Total run around. We have spent a lot of time trying to get them to comply.
