What does Molina Healthcare insurance cover?

Molina Healthcare provides a few different health insurance plans that include Medicaid and Medicare coverage, a Children with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN) plan, Molina Dual Options plans, and plans from the Health Insurance Marketplace.

Molina is partnered with state governments to provide Medicaid and Medicare coverage. Therefore, the policies will cover everything that is included in your state’s Medicaid or Medicare insurance.

Molina’s Medicaid plan may cover services such as ambulance transportation, behavioral health services, limited dental coverage, diagnostic services, emergency care, hospice care, inpatient hospital care, outpatient coverage, prescriptions, and more. In addition, Molina provides the following:

  • Transportation
  • Nurse advice line
  • Three months of Amazon Prime
  • Health management services
  • Care management services
  • Vision coverage

In terms of Molina’s Medicare plans, the company does not provide Original Medicare. However, it does sell Medicare Part C (Medicare Advantage), Medicare Part D (Prescription Drugs), a combination of Part C and Part D, and Medicare supplement (Medigap) insurance.

The Molina Dual Options plans are for people who qualify for both Medicaid and Medicare. If they have a Dual Options plan from Molina, they can receive benefits from both programs.

Individuals who do not qualify for Medicaid or Medicare can buy a Molina Healthcare insurance policy by searching the Health Insurance Marketplace. There are four different levels of plans that range from a catastrophic plan (one that requires you to pay for all care until you meet your deductible after which the policy covers everything) to plans that have no deductibles.

Molina may also provide state-specific plans.
