Don’t understand why it’s so hard to reach them. The number they gave me won’t put me through.

    This is crazy!

  5. Very upset 02. Nov, 2012 at 12:00 am #

I never wrote any reviews online, but this is unacceptable. This is my first time to reach this company for an insurance policy. They have the worst customer service I have ever seen.

I tried to get an explanation about why they increased my policy, the lady in customer service picked up the phone asked me for my vehicle company last four tax ID. I was not sure. And she said, “OMG, you don’t even know your tax ID why you even bother calling us?” OMG! I was so mad, and she hung up right after she said that. I do not understand how someone could be so rude. If you are in a bad mood, please do not go back to work.

I am also experiencing Hurricane Sandy in my house, for all the damage it caused. I am already very depressed. I cannot believe she is so mean. National Continental Insurance Company, please evaluate your customer service!

I would like to give no star, but there is no choice so, I chose 1 star.

This company has to be the worst insurer in NJ. It should be against the law to insure someone that can go out and hit anyone’s car without having to suffer any consequence except being kicked out.

First of all, there should always be a policy that has liability or else we could go hitting cars without having to ever pay for our bad driving skill. How is this fair and even allowed?! This should be against the law to even exist or else there is really no point of having insurance in the first place.

It makes me sick to think that I may not be able to even get my money back due to policies like this one existing. I sincerely hope they make a policy like this unlawful.

I purchased commercial auto insurance for 6 our non-emergency transportation sedan vehicles through National Continental in March 2017 it took them 6 weeks to finally send me a premium notice to come up with premium costs of 135,000! They based that premium on my annual cost of hire with my 6 drivers never heard of that outrageous cost for commercial auto.

I of course immediately canceled however since I had an auto policy for 2.5 months they want me to pay 40,000. now I know why they waited 6 weeks for them to send me premium costs they knew premium was going to be ridiculously high I was going to cancel but they knew I had to pay 2.5 months of insurance coverage.

I am fighting them now through my agent but please stay away from National.

I wrote earlier. I am hoping National comes to their senses on charging people outrageous commercial auto premiums without explaining to the consumer how they went about in charging that exorbitant amount it’s just the fair and righteous action for the consumers.

    Absolutely Correct!!!!

However, it is not the fault of the ins. co. but the fault of NJ law. The idea was generated to get votes in poor districts. It started out as a bad but debatable idea to get people to and from work/ and run errands locally with limited miles. If a minor accident occurred, the medical bills were paid but the liability would be paid out of pocket by owner.
This evolved into anything goes, with owners listing up to 5 vehicles for friends to abuse.

There is still a recourse by submitting a claim to your own ins. co. under an uninsured/underinsured vehicle. They will pay the damages and attempt to go after the owner in small claims court. However, this has caused the rest of us in NJ to pay the highest premiums for auto ins in the country.
