    Terrible! I’m not even sure this is a real insurance company.

    Was overcharged on an ongoing basis. Never got a human being to answer the phone there. Never got any response to any questions. Cancelled and did not receive a refund check until 4 months after cancelling. Continued to receive bills months after cancelling.

    So glad I never needed to file a claim with this nightmare of a company. Stay away!

    Ocean Harbor has restored my faith in insurance companies. I have been a driver for over 35 years and have not had so much as a speeding ticket in 20 years, and my previous ” BIG NAME “auto ins. co. raised my premium every year anyway.

    I hate changing companies after being with them over 13 years but I finally decided to shop around for a new company because it got to the point of being able to afford insurance for my vehicle or not.

    I am very pleased to say Ocean Harbor was a ray of sunshine on the insurance landscape, they offer Yearly Premiums, Low down payments, and decreasing monthly installments. And I’m saving over 1000 per year, from my previous insurer. I am so glad I made the switch, I couldn’t see spending the money I was, just for the BIG NAME.

    This is the most AWFUL insurance company. We used them twice. The first time we had absolutely no problems. The second time and the last, my husband got into an accident which was not his fault. Then they didn’t believe he was hurt & sent him to another “doctor.”

    This place was so run down, dirty, & had equipment from the 1960’s. Needless to say, we had a $10,000 policy & they only paid $3,000 because they’re “doctor” said my husband was not that hurt. She only seen him once.

    DO NOT go with this company they have a reputation of not paying claims!!!

    I was in a car accident dec 2010, went to hospital , had concussion, was told to go back to doctor week later to have my head checked, this company has still NOT paid the no-fault claim bill and my doctor has put me in collections. no one ever calls you back.

    Ocean Harbor Casualty Insurance Company’s receptionist just admitted to me over the phone that none of the adjusters answers their phone (they only accept voice messages) and the receptionist is not allowed to provide an adjuster’s email address.

    Poor service and lack of professionalism and sense of urgency when handling a claim.

    mine was closed without me knowing and I was still leaving daily messages to an adjuster who did not have the courtesy to call me and advise me the claim was closed .

    Someone hit me it took 2 months to finally take care of it. they do not answer the phone, you only hope they have compassion. they are horrible.

    now trying to get reimbursed for my rental, and I’m scared to death they won’t pay.

    The Owners of this company are lining their own pockets, with the money you are paying to protect yourself!! If you think you are getting a good deal with this company, just because you are paying a little bit less… PLEASE rethink your options!!!

    They WILL NOT be there for you when you need them the MOST!! We had been paying this company for the past 5 years, then recently got into an accident, and absolutly NO HELP whatsoever!!!

    They are THEIVES… Thousands of dollars paid to this company Just straight DOWN the drain!!! so unhappy:(((

    No one answers the phone when you need to make a claim, they try to exhaust you.

    Not really happy with this insurance.

    Making a payment is always a long hassle. They make you jump hoop after hoop to get anything done.You really have no choice in paying additional fees when making a payment unless you mail it. (or so I am told) If you make a payment in person, the clerks are lazy and clueless.

    If I stay with them for a total of 5 yrs, I can get a decent rate from a reputable insurance. Looking forward towards being in good hands in the future!

    When I bought a new car they billed me for the wrong amount stating that they couldn’t find my previous driving record, I had to go out my way to fix this issue, and then they amended my policy, and still say I owe for the month prior, but the amendment supersedes any prior policy..so how do I owe you?….

    unprofessional company if you ask me.

    They shouldn’t even get a half star… any of those giving more than 1 star are hired bloggers to boost numbers! This company is the WORST!

    They have fees everywhere and lie to what you get quoted from their providers.. they accidentally gave me the wrong paper while getting insurance and I saw the Estrella, their car insurance provider quoted me almost $200 fees than they said!

    Don’t answer the phone, very rude, I’m still waiting to get reimbursed after 3 months since the accident, paid with my own money for the deductible. Accident wasn’t my fault. The other driver, who hit me, has this company.

    It is a horrible company but do like I did report them to the insurance regulation department 850 413 3140 they charged me $215 for 2 days. Which is illegal. They charged for the month of may instead of for may 20 to June 20. They don’t answer phone calls

    I got a quote from this company and told them I would possibly give them a callback and they literally called my phone 7 times in one day trying to get me to give them my credit card number. It sounds like a total scam am I the only one who thinks this place is sketchy???

    I would never buy their insurance now especially with everyone else’s input.

    Never heard of this company till I was T-boned in an accident and the at fault person said they had this insurance. After reading these reviews and trying to call (number out of service)

    I would suggest all of the policy holders evaluate what they are getting for their money.

    Took them over THREE weeks to give me any information about my car! Had to call 5 times a day, every day. On hold for over 20 minutes. Haven’t had a car for about 2 months because they are slow with their work! By the time I had received an amount of money, it didn’t even come close to covering the loans for my car!!

    DEFINITELY will not be using them ever again! I can promise that!!!

    Call and leave messages for days and no one will return calls. Talked to 2 supervisors and they were worthless.

    WOW! I’m glad I’m not one of the pissed off people on here.

    My fiance and I have had this company for 2 yrs with no problems. There have been no accidents, but still, the customer service description here is not the same I have experience. Only bad thing my insurance did not cover a windshield replacement.

    I have Ocean Harbor for home owners policy and they have been great after storm Sandy. They had an adjuster here right away and two weeks after a check in the mail for the roof and windows to be repaired without the crazy deductibles some other people are paying.

    One of their insured rear-ended my car and they said it was my fault it took them almost two months to say that. They don’t want to pay. I’m going to complain to the ins.reg.state of FL.

    I was involved in a car accident with one of their clients who was at fault because the person took a stop sign.This company has not helped me at all. I can not drive my car because of the damage and they will not give me a rental car!!!!!!!! Are they serious????????????

    I have no way of getting to work and they do not CARE AT ALL. Not even the supervisors !!!! IT IS HORRIFIC!!!!!!!!!

    By far the worst insurance company ever.

    This is the worst company ever!!!! Do not use at all. After seeing everyone’s reviews I feel like going back to the dealership and punch the salesman that put me in this very insurance I did not want in the first place.

    The dealership was frustrating enough to deal and they screwed me over in many ways. And then in order the drive out the lot I had to start up fee for this insurance company $700.00 and pay $210 per month for 6 months.. it was ridiculous!! I paid reassuring that I will get the full refund if I switch to another insurance company and the said yes.. Liars!!!

    immediately out of the lot I called Geico and didn’t pay any start up fee and pay only $100 per month. It wasn’t even a day with this insurance company and they said I’ll receive refunds in 45 days. I finally got a check from them and it was only 387.30. What the f***, I called and they were making up all these fees. Remind you that I was told a full refund if not I would of stay at the dealership til 1 am if that’s what it takes to go with the insurance of my preference.

    For those of you thinking about working with these crooks let me tell you how they treat their customer. All comments below regarding avoidance and failure to respond are true.

    I was hit by a customer of Ocean Harbor. Ocean Harbor refused to respond and the customer openly acknowledged fault and was found at fault by the police. She was visibly shaken up and I tried to reassure her as they loaded me into the ambulance by letting her know it would be ok and our insurance companies could handle this. I finally had to call a lawyer even though I did not want to.

    After they investigated it became apparent that Ocean Harbor was trying to look for ways to drop the customer. If this happened we would go to court and the bills would go directly to the customer and this would potentially drive the single Mother into Chapter 11.

    So I turned to my insurance company, Geico. These guys are AWESOME, I love them and will never leave them. They began the arduous task of trying to work with these people. After two months of avoidance, the claim went to collections directed at the customer not Ocean Harbor.

    Geico, however, is doing everything in their power to make sure I am taken care of even though I will probably never be fully compensated for the loss. We (Geico and myself) are going to both be out large sums of money because of this event, not to mention the fact that I am going on my third month of physical therapy, my credit is shot and I am now looking to any credit card company that will work with me.

    My point being not only is this company negatively impacting their customers and ripping them off but they are causing substantial cost and loss on other companies that do value their customers. As I research them further I am seeing countless reports like this. This leads me to believe that they are a huge drain on the local economy of the state they operate in.

    This sham of a company needs to be closed down for the good of all. The insured by Ocean Harbor are nothing more than mobile time bombs waiting to cause more financial drain on the economy. How anyone can operate an organization like this and sleep at night indicates a truly twisted and deranged individual.
