    Horrible!

    Ohio Casualty denied a claim to one of their insured (an auto repair place) after their insured ruined the engine in my car. They hired CED to conduct an “investigation,” which was nothing more than a formality for them to pay off CED to make sure they didn’t have to pay out the claim.

    My engined was ruined due to a bad timing belt job, but they called it normal wear and tear. The car is a diesel with less than 100K miles on it, no way was it normal wear and tear!

    Stay away from this company and any business that uses them.

    These guys are awful.

    I’m going on two weeks since my initial claim (I got rear-ended by one of their clients), and (1) my primary contact (Jason) has stopped answering/returning calls, and (2) an “adjuster” was supposed to coming out a week ago, but has yet to attempted to contact me or show up to investigate my claim.

    To top it all off, they refuse to cover a rental car until the adjuster comes out! So, I’ve been left without a running car for more than a week.

    Run away from these guys; liberty mutual should be ashamed to even be associated with this bunch of low-lives.

    I drove my car to a shop for stalling at idle. Four days later there was undercarriage damage. The shop told me to make a fraudulent claim. I made an honest claim.

    The field inspector referred my issue to a special investigations unit after the shop owner denied driving/ damaging my car

    An adjuster phoned 2 hours later to deny a claim. She told me it was mechanical failure.

    I contacted the selling agent. I received another call from an inside investigator. She said a fraud investigator will look into the matter. Ten days later the fraud investigator went yo the shop

    The claim is denied. Reason given is wear and tear. Ohio Casualty/Safco is relying on the statement given by the owner of the shop that instructed me to file a fraudulent claim!

    The car is a classic Rolls Royce. It is a 1977 with 58,000 miles. One owner car. Never driven in winter.

    I don’t have an estimate. The car cannot be driven. I have no idea of the amount of type of damage.

    Ohio Casualty is now demanding that I have the car towed from the shop as it ” is not a good place”
