Trying to find email communication with Executive Director for unified Life Ins Co. I signed up last year and was told that I would have a PPO, wanted to make sure that I had full coverage, I suffer from Asthma and other medical problems. I was paying through direct payment $150 a month.
I was taken to the emergency room on Feb 25, 2017, did not have any idea that only $50 would be paid. When I signed up, I was told that with the PPO I would have excellent coverage.
Not true, now I’m in the whole over four hundred dollars. I found out after calling today, that I should have paid more to get that coverage when a medical emergency occurs, no one asks if the hospital would honor my insurance.
When I signed up I believed I was getting the best coverage possible, if I needed to pay more that should have been told to me. I had to drop this plan because my economic income change and I qualified for Medical.
When I called today, I asked for a supervisor to get an email address to the Executive Director and when the call was transfer, I was on hold for fifteen minutes.
Then I could hear someone say “no, no” and the call was dropped. I would never recommend Unified Life Insurance Company to anyone. The representatives do not explain and do not listen to one’s needs. Still trying to reach Executive Director, VP or someone that can help me with the outstanding bill.
